Abigail Starcher E-Portfolio

This portfolio is a presentation of my work completed in fulfillment of the requirements of the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree program for the University of South Florida (USF)’s College of Arts and Science – School of Information (SI). It features the competencies I have acquired in the program which are based on the standards set forth by the American Library Association (ALA).

Presented here are artifacts from the MLIS program’s thirty-nine credit hour course of study, which requires core courses, electives, and co-curricular activities in librarianship. The artifacts contained in this portfolio include writing samples, a digital library, and presentations which demonstrate my mastery of the Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for the MLIS program. Furthermore, this portfolio provides a summary of my professional preparation for the field through co-curricular involvement. Finally, it is representative of my work from my matriculation in the MLIS program in the Fall of 2022 to my graduation in the Spring of 2024.
